- EFTTA was established in London in 1981, as an international, non-political, independent association to serve the European fishing tackle trade by campaigning to promote sportfishing, environmental issues and international business. Membership is open to manufacturers, wholesalers, agents, press and related organisation in the tackle industry and EFTTA currently has over 250 members. Applications for membership are subject to approval by the EFTTA Board, which comprises 12 elected European members and a President who is elected every three years. EFTTEX is the annual European show which changes location from Amsterdam every other year.
