Mr Andrew Sizer is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Shrewsbury and Telford NHS Trust with special interests in Infertility, Miscarriage and Endometriosis. He originates from East Anglia, but completed basic medical and specialist training in Cardiff, working as a Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Cardiff University until he was appointed to a Consultant position in Shropshire in 2007. He trained in Reproductive Medicine/Assisted Reproduction under the supervision of Mrs Sheila Walker (who ran the first NHS IVF clinic in the UK) and Professor Robert Shaw (former President of the RCOG). Mr Sizer carried out research into male infertility, completing his MD in 2002. He has extensive experience of Assisted Reproductive Treatments (IVF, ICSI, intrauterine insemination, donor insemination and donor eggs). Mr Sizer consults in the Shropshire Nuffield Hospital (Shrewsbury) on Tuesday evenings and the Apley Clinic (Princess Royal Hospital, Telford) on alternate Friday lunchtimes.
