- The premiere writing organization on the Central Coast of California. SLO NightWriters members include award winning published authors, and talented unpublished writers. Members write, critique and edit all genres, including fiction, non-fiction, literary, mainstream, screenwriting, technical writing, poetry, magazine articles and newspaper columns. One important aspect of the organization is its members-only critique groups which have five to ten participants each. From 2007 to 2010 SLO NightWriters members won more than twenty awards in the Lillian Dean Writing competition at the Central Coast Writers Conferences. SLO NightWriters is a sponsor of the Central Coast Writers Conference, held each fall at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, California, and a member of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce. SLO NightWriters welcomes and encourages writers from around the world to join its ranks.
