- STIJN COLE (pronounced ‘Stan Cole’ ) graduated in 1999 at the highly acclaimed theatre school Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp where he had studied theatre and songwriting. His next step was starting up the musical theatre group Podium Modern. They created and performed 5 plays in 4 years time, touring them throughout Belgium and Holland. Podium Modern’s final project was: Off The Record. An a cappella musical show mixed with heavy beatboxing. Off The Record was so successful that very soon a record deal plus album followed. And the band found themselves playing major festivals in Belgium and Holland, including PukkelPop, Marktrock, Dranouter, Lowlands, Paaspop, etc. A 2nd album was released supported by several videos (check Off The Record on Youtube). After 5 years the band decided to put Off The Record on hold for a while so all band members could pursue individual projects.
