The 19 year old from New England traveled to Haiti for her first missionary trip, after spending endless loving hours with the children a 7.0 magnitude earthquake hit, killing Britney and estimated 250,000 Haitian Citizens. A special thank you to the United States Government and the Army's Southern Command for recovering Britney Gengel from the rubbel of her hotel. Not allowing her to die in vain, her family, Len (Father), Cherylann(Mother), Bernie (Brother) and Richie(Brother), decided to fufill Britneys Last wish; you see, just an few hours before the earhquake Britney sent a text to her Mother saying that she was inspired to move to Haiti someday to build an orphanage. Today, the 19,000 squarefoot Earthquake Proof Orphanage, Shaped in the Letter B (For Brit), is home to 33 boys and 33 girls, symbolic of thirty three days Britney was missing in the earthquake.
