- The Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) is a Government of Uganda Agency under the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development that is mandated to provide advice to the Government of Uganda (GoU) and other relevant stakeholders on policy matters that are essential for advancing science and technology in all sectors of the national economy. UNCST is also responsible for coordination and guidance of research and development projects and programmes; and facilitates promotion and integration of science and technology in national development. In addition, the UNCST is actively involved in development and implementation of bilateral and multilateral science, technology and innovation (STI) collaboration projects and programmes.
