- Assaf Gidron is a composer, musician and sound designer. Originally from Tel Aviv, Assaf studied composition and computer music at Goldsmiths College, London and The Royal Conservatory, The Hague with, among others, Michael Finnissy, Richard Barrett, Martijn Padding and Gilius Van Bergeijk. Assaf's music has been performed in Tel Aviv, London and the Netherlands by various ensembles and performers including the Asko Schoenberg ensemble, Ligeti Academy and Slagwerk Den Haag. Assaf is also active as a performer and improviser, playing cello, guitar and electronics. In addition Assaf works extensively as a sound designer and mixing engineer for film and television internationally, including a long lasting collaboration with director Lior Shamriz and numerous independent film makers based in Tel Aviv and London, and regular work for Israeli television.
