- The Blessing Basket Project is an effort to combat poverty world wide. We are different than any other organization in the world doing such work. We have searched the globe to find the neediest most forgotten people with a heritage deeply rooted in basket weaving and that is when the blessing begins. You see we pay our weavers an incredible prosperity wage. As a matter of fact, many of our artists have been known to cry, dance in the streets, or respond in disbelief when they find out about the prosperity wage they receive through our project. Some are even using their wages to start their own business! We can pay this wage because there is no one in the middle taking any money. It's simply directly from The Blessing Basket Project to the weavers. Nearly all of our artists are women and all of them come from a life filled with abuse, neglect and oppression.
