- My art is divided into two parts; a balance between static boundaries and dynamic non-representational movements. I create a space within a space therefore constructing boundaries of my own to construct a structure around my work. Artworks are meant to be contemplated in a given surrounding, a home, a gallery, a museum. This is why I link my work to the formal and physical relationship with existing architectures. Although the aesthetic part of the work is of value, the attachment to my paint handling is to be appreciated to enjoy its content as it represents automatic-art movements on the surface. I design a painting to be visually interesting with concrete space determination in relation to its time period. I see my artworks as objects, using their geometry as a way of closing the gap between “Art” and Interior Design. Therefore using the wood, also seen in furniture, to make it interact with day to day activities in a living space.
