- The Cal Veterans Group was created in 2004 by a University of California Berkeley student veteran looking for a way to bring military veterans on campus together, reach out to returning veterans across the community, and provide resources and mentorship for current and future student veterans. Currently, we engage in all of this work plus more. From philanthropic activities, outreach to local community colleges, and advocacy on legislation pertaining to veterans, we serve to become a beacon for veterans hopeful of gaining access to and succeeding in higher education and beyond.
