- Children & the Arts is the national children’s charity tackling inequality through sustained arts experiences. Our vision is for brighter, healthier and happier children through the power of inclusive and accessible arts. Every child has the right to a rich and inspiring creative education and we believe that no pupil’s education should be limited by the circumstances of their birth. Using our ten years of experience and through partnership with arts venues across the UK, we give children at risk of being left behind the inspiration, aspiration and enjoyment found in the arts that will improve their life chances. Arts venues and cultural organisations are selected to be part of our national Start programme that enables them to partner with schools in local areas of deprivation - schools that have very limited arts provision for students and no connection to their cultural community.
