- Crepol-The Center for Research on Political,The Center for Research on Political Economy (CREPOL) started work in March 2009. It was set up on the belief that there is an urgent need for an interdisciplinary research center, bridging the fields of economics, political science, sociology, business and law, which focuses on the problems and challenges raised by the current political developments and economic transformations of countries in the West African sub-region. It seeks to evoke the classical tradition of political economy to explore new approaches to the politics and economics of national and regional development that jointly challenge existing explanations, as the basis for empirical research and policy analysis.
