- Kanekin initiated as a creative agency handling brand experience design and marketing of various brands in Indonesia. Our enthusiasm and interest towards brands have brought us into a realization that there is a lack of supporting media in the exposing of local brands, which leads to the drowning of local brands in a sea of foreign ones. There are two particular aspects we are concerned about. First, we have seen it by our own eyes and felt it on our own skin that there is an enormous number of Indonesians whose prestige seem to be remarked as chaff when they use local products. Second, local brands have as well come to a point where bearing the name of Indonesia becomes embarrassing as they are in fear of being not economically viable. Aiming to erase this particular mindset from this generation, Kanekin was then founded.
