This is the official site for the McCulloch House Museum & Genealogy Centre. We are an archive and research centre that specializes in Scottish immigration to Northern Nova Scotia and the settlement of Pictou County. Between June & October, the McCulloch House Museum is open for tours. The Museum is the home of Dr. Thomas McCulloch, circa 1805, the founder & principal of Pictou Academy, Presbyterian Minister, author, political activist, ornithologist and first President of Dalhousie University. The Museum is a member of the 28 Provincial Museums and accepts NS Museum passes and memberships.
