- ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION The New Civil Liberties Alliance (NCLA) is a non-profit, public interest law firm, which will engage in pro-bono litigation against the sorts of unconstitutional power that systematically threaten civil rights. MISSION The NCLA will defend the liberty and form of government established by the Constitution. It will focus primarily on fighting unconstitutional administrative power and its threat to constitutional rights, including freedom of speech, jury rights, and due process. VISION The NCLA will coordinate with other civil rights organizations to carry out a systematic strategy against administrative power. Rather than try to resist such power wherever it threatens substantive rights and interests, the goal will be to work against the administrative mechanisms that repeatedly threaten constitutionally protected freedoms.
