- Sheffield Alcohol Support Service (SASS) has been providing community alcohol services in Sheffield since it formed in 1978. SASS is a registered charity (1087215) and limited company (3870000), governed by a board of trustees. SASS' projects are all designed to work towards the aim of enabling people to change their lives through a range of specialist alcohol, drug and family services. They complement each other, with an overlap of services providing clients with access to the most relevant support no matter what route they were originally referred through. The Alcohol Recovery Community – uses an asset-based community model to bridge the gap between treatment and the outside world.
