Swampland Tackle opened it's doors in 1989 as a full service tackle shop specializing in providing fishing tackle and gear to tournament bass fishermen as well as weekend fishermen. Building and repairing rods came about as an afterthought, after several customers began inquiring about rod repairs. Swampland started building and repairing rods in 1990. Ten years and many, many rods later rod sales surpassed tackle sales and then that's when Swampland began to focus primarily on custom rods sales full time.
