- The Tariff Commission (TC) performs governmental and quasi-judicial functions. TC is the principal authority on tariffs, trade remedy measures, and competition advocacy. It investigates and recommends/decides on petitions from Philippine industries for tariff modification, tariff classification, imposition of anti-dumping measures, and imposition of safeguard measures. It provides policy advice to the executive and legislative branches of the Philippine government on matters related to tariffs and trade negotiating strategies and promotes trade by participating in policy dialogues and international trade negotiations. TC is an attached agency of the National Economic and Development Authority.
